Fantastic location. Enjoyed the sunny balcony. Friendly reception. Clean. Comfortable bed
Very cramped. Too small a basin in the bathroom. Food fairly awful.

The proprietors were welcoming, friendly, helpful and anxious to please. The breakfasts provided were excellent, providing a full range of choice romf croissants, preserves, cereals, fresh and dried fruit and generous portions from a wide range and combination of cooked items that were presented attractively and beautifully cooked. The public rooms and bedrooms were very clean and well decorated.
Like many guest houses Chellowdene was, originally a private residence and the provision of en suite facilities was achieved by taking space from the bedrooms. To do this in the room we had only a very small wash basin could be provided.

The view from our bedroom balcony and the dining room over the sea. Unfortunately though, we weren't lucky with the weather, so we were unable to use the balcony. The breakfast was good also.
The fact that it was difficult for parking. In the end we parked in one of the side roads, as we would have been continually moving the car to let someone in or out.

For the size (think 8 rooms) and price of this hotel it offered excellent service and comfort, the owners were always there to offer their personal assistance. It offered everything you could want including free wi fi. Exceedingly clean with a full breakfast, of local produce, which included fresh fruits, pastries and yoghurts and more. I was on business in Falmouth but intend to return with family for a short break. An excellent stay.

This is an exceptionally clean B&B. The owners are really friendly and couldn't do more to make sure you feel welcome. it is in a great location very near the beach and within a short walking distance to Falmouth town centre so is a great base.
The only slight issue was that the sink in the ensuite was very small so it was a little inpractical.

Lovely comfortable bed and a very bright room
Unfortunately there were no en-suite facilities but a private bathroom was offered with an individual key for the door, which was across the landing. This was ok but no so good for a middle of the night trip for the toilet. Also the bedroom was in the eves and my husband bumped his head several times. We had room no. 5 and its possible that the other room on the top floor was not in the eves.

The proprietor was pleasant and responded promptly to our requests for bathrobes and paper handkerchiefs, but we feel that, in comparison with other places where we stayed on our visit to Cornwall, that it was over-priced.
